Australian government is introducing a bill which will allow ANY visa to Australia to be granted whilst the applicants are onshore or offshore until 31 December 2021.

However, whilst the bills is pending the department has made announcement that it will allow a list of offshore family visas to be granted whilst the applicants are on shore in Australia

From 27 February 2021, the following visa can be granted whilst the applicants are onshore:

  • Child (subclass 101) visa
  • Adoption (subclass 102) visa
  • Dependent Child (subclass 445) visa
  • Prospective Marriage (subclass 300) visa
  • Partner (subclass 309) visa

From 24 March 2021 the following visa can be granted whilst the applicants are onshore in Australia:
